Benefits of Using a Garden Supply Delivery Service for Your Seasonal Landscaping

Blog

Most homeowners change and upgrade their landscape each season. This may mean simply changing the mulch or changing the flowers. For some, it means a full seasonal change to add curb appeal to their home. For many, this means making trips to the local garden supply store. There are other choices. One of those choices is to use a garden supply delivery service. Here are some of the benefits to using this option for your seasonal landscaping needs.

Seasonal Plants

One of the leading benefits to using a garden supply delivery service is the seasonal plants and shrubs. Most of the delivery services try to keep seasonal items that appeal to people wanting a sustainable and seasonal landscape. Though you can get these seasonal plants locally, a delivery service will likely have more options available and the pricing may be slightly different. The seasonal plants available will offer a wider range and give you the chance to have unique options that local nurseries may not provide.

Same Day Delivery

If you find a garden delivery service in your area, they may offer same day delivery. This can be a huge benefit if you were planning on making several trips to get your mulch and other supplies. This also means items like mulch are fresh and can be delivered by truckload rather than per bag.

Keep in mind, you will need to specify the amounts of mulch by cubic foot amount. You can also order other supplies like timber barriers for landscaping, bricks and heavier items that are difficult to haul yourself. Same day delivery on these items can help you get the foundation of your landscape done quickly and allow to settle before you add other items.

Scheduled Replenishment

When you use a garden supply delivery service, you can get certain items on a scheduled replenishment of different items. For example, your plant food and fertilizer can be delivered monthly. You may have other items you use on a regular basis, such as bird seed. These items are available at garden supply services and can be setup on auto delivery to help you avoid separate trips for these items.

When you are ready to place an order, contact the delivery service that works for your needs. They can help you with your order, delivery options and special options for mulch delivery. Keep in mind, you can find local garden supply services that will delivery fresh and seasonal mulch as well.

Winter proofing my garden

Winter is coming, at least to my garden. I am working on how to make sure that I protect my garden from heavy frosts this year because last year some of my bulbs and fruit trees suffered frost shock. Often the best way to avoid frost shock and make sure that you have a beautiful garden year round is to do some sensible prep work in winter including prune, mulching, and building shade clothes. This blog has tips for gardeners in cooler climates who like to have beautiful flowers and fruits all year round, no matter what the weather is like.
